A sustainable programme in the Ukraine for education, health and inclusion through football
Inclusion through football
Coach the Coaches teaches young people in developing countries to become coaches with socio-pedagogical and health skills – and thus enables them to improve the future prospects of underprivileged children, young people and their families through football. In addition to footballing skills, elementary socio-pedagogical and health skills are also taught as part of this course. After the course, the coaches return to their home regions and transmit their knowledge to children and young people with disabilities according to the “peer-to-peer education” principle.
Currently, the Salesian Don Bosco Family House Pokrova is home to about 70 boys between the ages of 5 and 18 who, for various reasons, cannot live with their families. Many of these are orphans or half-orphans, as well as children from low-income and dysfunctional families. Don Bosco Youth Aid Worldwide (Switzerland) and FOOTBALL IS MORE would like to jointly implement a project in Ukraine to promote education for children and young people.

“Football showed me, what you can do with your life. as you play, you learn discipline, respect and following rules that also count off the pitch. FOR ME, FOOTBALL WAS A SCHOOL OF LIFE, A SCHOOL OF LIFE THAT helped me in many situations. Now, through the social projects of the FOOTBALL IS MORE foundation, I can give back some of my happiness to children and young people. We can all participate!”
