World Down Syndrome Day – Together for Inclusion

Today on March 21st, we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. A day dedicated to raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and embracing the unique strengths and potential of people with Down syndrome.

At FOOTBALL IS MORE, we believe that diversity makes our communities stronger and richer. People with Down syndrome, like everyone else, deserve equal opportunities to pursue their passions, take part in activities they love, and achieve their personal goals. Our sports programmes are designed to create an environment where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can feel welcome, supported, and empowered.

The date, 21.3, symbolises the uniqueness of the triplication of chromosome 21, which causes Down syndrome. It’s a powerful reminder that while differences exist, they should never define someone’s value or limit their potential.

This year, we stand alongside our partners, athletes, families, and friends to champion inclusion both on and off the field. We continuously work to create spaces where people with Down syndrome and all individuals with special needs can thrive. Let’s use this day to celebrate achievements, challenge outdated perceptions, and promote a future where everyone has the chance to shine.

How can you get involved?
