Ukraine Integrates: Seventh Edition of Landmark Programme Returns
FOOTBALL IS MORE foundation is proud to announce the seventh edition of its programme "Ukraine - into Society Through Education and Sport," which continues to support Ukrainians injured in the war through a unique combination of sport (football), psychology, and rehabilitation.
Now in its third year, the programme invites participants to take part in intensive training days designed to support both physical and mental recovery. Sessions combine football training with psychology, trauma therapy, VR-Sport, and team-building activities — creating an environment where sport becomes a genuine tool for healing and reintegration.
The programme is led by an interdisciplinary team of FIM-Family experts spanning football coaching, psychology, and education:
Steve Johnson — Disability Coach/Manager, Everton FC
Dr. Lisa Miebach — Psychologist and Educator
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Buschmann
Hanspeter Rothmund — Football Is More Foundation
Cengiz Biçer — Football Is More Foundation
By bringing together professional expertise from across disciplines, the programme offers participants far more than physical training. It creates a space where recovery, connection, and personal growth go hand in hand — reinforcing the foundation's belief that sport - football can be a powerful catalyst for social inclusion.
Since its launch, "Ukraine Integrates" has grown in both scope and impact, with each edition building on the lessons and relationships of the last. The seventh edition marks another step forward in the foundation's commitment to standing alongside those affected by conflict.
Because football is more than just a game.
«together we are stronger»
