A Look Back at the Special Adventure Camp Liechtenstein 2025

Last Friday, the Special Adventure Camp Liechtenstein 2025 came to an end – after a week full of unforgettable moments, powerful encounters, and experiences that will stay with us for a long time.

Over the course of five days, more than 80 children and young people with disabilities, alongside school classes, local clubs, international foundations, and our FIM-Family, came together in Liechtenstein. Through football, workshops, creative activities, and joint events, inclusion was not just spoken about – it was lived and celebrated.

One of the most moving experiences were the school days in Eschen and Vaduz. Here, pupils shared meals, took part in workshops, and played together in inclusive teams. Teachers later shared how surprised and impressed they were by their students: how naturally they approached the children with disabilities, how patient and caring they became, and how quickly barriers and fears disappeared once they played and laughed together. For many, it was a first encounter of this kind – and one that opened their eyes in ways a classroom lesson never could.

On Thursday, the international teams had their moment to shine in the Special European League. After exciting matches filled with passion and fair play, Chelsea Foundation and Fundação Benfica reached the final. The match was played just before the Walking Football Tournament on the Lindaplatz – a symbolic bridge between generations and abilities. In the end, Chelsea defended their title and once again lifted the trophy to the cheers of the crowd.

Another highlight was the Walking Football Tournament itself, featuring international teams such as Chelsea Foundation, Fundação Benfica, VfB Stuttgart's Brustring der Herzen, Brunau Stiftung, FC Winterthur Brühlgut, FC Bruschgol, and our FIM-Family member FC Appenzell. The atmosphere on the square became a true celebration of sport, community, and diversity, with young and old experiencing football in a completely new way.

Beyond the matches and activities, the camp created spaces for conversation, reflection, and the building of lasting friendships. Partners such as the municipalities of Schaan and Vaduz, the Schulzentrum Unterland, and the Liechtensteinisches Gymnasium, together with many local and international supporters, played an essential role in making this vision possible.

The Special Adventure Camp Liechtenstein 2025 was more than a sporting event – it was a movement for inclusion and togetherness. We are deeply grateful to all participants, schools, teams, volunteers, partners, and sponsors who made this week such a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when everyone is given the chance to belong.
