Inclusion and participation in society
Football becomes a shared language that opens the door to belonging for every person.
An inclusive society is one in which every single person is accepted and can participate on an equal footing – irrespective of age, gender, origin, or disability. There is no predefined “normal” to conform to. Differences are recognised as enriching and entirely natural.
Our ambition is to create a sporting environment that adapts to all people and remains inclusive regardless of age, gender, origin, or disability. Football gives everyone the space to use their resources and develop their individual talents.
Inclusion is highly desirable, but it is not easy to achieve because it emerges from many social processes working hand in hand. Lasting change starts with every individual. Football can be the perfect catalyst: on the pitch we experience differences together, overcome them as a team, and show that “together we are stronger”.
Football will not solve every challenge, but it can dismantle physical and psychological barriers and give people the courage to take a step closer to one another.
