Education Programme for Inclusion
Hands-on training that empowers coaches and carers to deliver football for mixed-ability teams.
In theoretical and practical sessions, participants learn how to plan and organise training for people with and without disabilities. Working directly with disabled footballers reduces fear of contact, surfaces different strengths, and builds mutual trust.
The training lasts 2.5 days: 1.5 days take place together on the pitch and in the classroom, followed by one day of individual tasks. The programme is recognised by the Swiss Federal Office of Sport BASPO and offered with cantonal sports offices through Youth and Sport (J+S). For J+S coaches, the course extends the J+S licence.
The curriculum was developed with FOOTBALL IS MORE partners including VfB Stuttgart, FC Lugano Special Needs I Camaleonti, Chelsea FC Foundation, Benfica Foundation, Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, and the Special Education School Sonnenberg-Baar.
